MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport expects its passenger traffic to rise over 16% on the year to above 21 million people in 2018 and to 23 million people in 2019, co-owner Vitaly Vantsev said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel on Friday.

“As of today we have had 21 (million people). 2018 was a very good year for us in passenger traffic terms, we have beaten our expectations and will have over 21 million people… And next year, we expect 23 million people,” he said.

In 2017, the airport’s passenger traffic amounted to 18.1 million people.

Vantsev also said that the traffic became more diverse this year with a 60% share of domestic traffic as compared with 70% in 2017.
